Nexus Art Cafe hosts The Dry Umbrella

Nexus Art Cafe will be hosting a six-week pilot project alongside the Dry Umbrella CIC which sees Nexus Art Cafe go back to its roots as a temperance bar on Friday and Saturday nights. The ‘Umbrella Cafe’ will be a pop-up initiative, serving mocktails and other alcohol free drinks from 7:30pm until 11pm. To see a line-up of events provided by Umbrella Cafe then please visit their website

Nexus Art Cafe is proud to be an alcohol free-venue and we are delighted to be working with the Dry Umbrella to promote the idea of enjoying a night out without the need to drink.

Calling all Knitters and Crocheters!

Sat 14th – Sun 22nd June
Nexus Art Café are inviting knitters, crocheters and other ‘yarnies’ to come and use the café space for yarn creativity for the whole nine days. A hamper of yarn, hooks and needles available during opening times all week.
This event is run as part of World Wide Knit in PublicWeek. WWKIP started out  as a day, extended to a weekend and now spans the intervening week days across at least 4 continents.
Come and relax, learn a new skill and share your work in progress. Why not make something lovely for our cafe? Tea cozies, coasters or critters, we’d love to have them on display.
