‘TIPS & TRICKS WITH YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA: THE URBAN LANDSCAPE’

Digital photography workshop for all

Saturday 28th January 2012, 11am – 1.30pm

£6 fee

With a focus on street photography and the urban landscape, this workshop aims to teach beginners how to use their digital cameras. The session will begin at Nexus, where individuals will be taught how to better their shots by making the most of the Manual & Semi-automatic controls available. Accompanied by the workshop leader, participants will then explore these features further by photographing city centre scenes nearby

Workshop participants will then return to Nexus Art Café, to share and enjoy their images whist enjoying a complimentary tea or coffee. A slideshow of the photographs will then be published online and exhibited within Nexus for café visitors to enjoy. Participants must bring their own digital cameras (preferably a Digital SLR or ‘bridge’ camera), and are encouraged to bring a tripod (if owned).

The workshop will be run by Helen McGhie, a northwest based photographic artist.

Do we need to book for the digital camera course? This is my camera, I’m told it’s pretty good camera but I’d like to check it’s suitable for the course.
