Volunteering

Volunteers help run NexusNightCafe, support the art and exhibitions programme, help out in the cafe, develop our community garden, run Needlework@Nexus project, help with the administration, cook for the cafe, organise spirituality events, maintain our web site and believe it or not, much, much more.

We take on volunteers all year round and aim to provide our volunteers with the best experiences and create opportunities for personal development. If you became a volunteer with us, you would be working with David, (cafe manager) Hannah (charity manager) or Al (our minister), depending on which area of the project you were involved in.

Youʼd have regular supervision to ensure youʼre supported throughout your time with us and a named person would meet with you regularly to discuss any achievements and problems.

We hold regular volunteer events to encourage networking and team building and provide in-house and nationally accredited training. Our volunteers are encouraged to make an impact and to be leaders within Nexus. Many of our current projects were instigated and are led by our volunteers.

Keep an eye on this page for current volunteering opportunities.
